The molecule
The head faces water; the tails turn away from it.
Liposomal technology
A microscopic phospholipid layer gives nutrients a different way to travel. Discover the structure, the science and the formats that fit everyday life.

Think of the nutrient wearing a tiny raincoat. The layer is made from phospholipids — the same class of fatty molecules found in our cell membranes.

What’s inside a liposome?
The structure begins with a phospholipid: a water-loving head and two water-repelling tails.

The head faces water; the tails turn away from it.

Two layers arrange their tails inward, with their heads facing the water on either side.

The layer closes around a watery core. Nutrients can be carried in the core or within the lipid layer.

A closer look at nutrients
Different ingredients fit different parts of a liposome. Choose a group to see where they can be carried.

Also in the KIDO range
Combination products bring nutrients together in one formulation. Their exact distribution within liposomes is formulation-specific.
For consumers
The goal is to make nutrients more available for absorption. Human studies support this for particular formulations; research should be matched to the product.
Encapsulation is one way formulators can manage an ingredient’s contact with its surroundings. Taste and digestive tolerance still need to be assessed for the finished product.
Drops, suspensions and portable or dry formats offer different ways to take a supplement. Choose the appropriate product and follow its label.
Science in the formulation
Three properties help describe how a formulation behaves. They are quality parameters, not a stand-alone measure of health benefit.
pH stability
Testing under digestive conditions helps establish whether the formulation protects and releases its ingredients as intended.
Particle size
Size and the spread of sizes describe the vesicle population and help assess formulation consistency.
Zeta potential
Surface charge helps describe whether particles tend to remain dispersed or cluster together.
The HAPV platform
Our platform supports European development and production, with a production base in the Netherlands. Liquid and dry formats create options across the HAPV portfolio.

Collagen-based formulations are also described in the platform. Collagen is an ingredient, rather than a dosage form.
Discover the science
Absorption is something researchers can measure. What a result means for a particular product depends on the formulation and the people studied.
A randomized crossover trial compared 500 mg of liposomal and conventional vitamin C. The studied liposomal formulation produced 21% higher plasma vitamin C exposure over 24 hours.
Read the original study ↗A randomized single-dose study in healthy adults reported higher bioavailability for the tested liposomal vitamin C formulation than its comparator.
Read the original study ↗These studies tested other formulations in adults. They are not clinical trials of KIDO products or evidence of efficacy in children. Higher absorption alone does not establish an additional health benefit.
A phospholipid bilayer can carry hydrophilic and lipophilic ingredients. Oral delivery may involve release, lipid digestion and several absorption pathways; direct fusion with gut cells is not a universal mechanism.
Assess ingredient form, dose and finished-product data. A liposomal label alone does not establish less nausea, less aftertaste or better tolerance.
Choose the appropriate format, serving instructions and age suitability. Easier routines may support adherence, but volumes are not doses.
HAPV CONSULTING welcomes distributors, marketing companies and brand owners seeking differentiated supplement portfolios and specialist product opportunities.
Our LIPO 365 portfolio brings together KIDO, Daily Sure and AKTI Life: vitamins, minerals and supplements (VMS) across liposomal drops, suspensions, 25 mL shots and liposomal capsules. Explore liposomal iron, liposomal vitamin C, liposomal vitamin D, vitamin B12, omega-3, collagen and creatine across the relevant ranges. Further formats, including liposomal gummies, can be discussed as development enquiries.
We welcome discussions about distribution, branded supplements, licensing, white label and private label projects, and collaboration with contract manufacturing organisations (CMO) and contract development and manufacturing organisations (CDMO). Share your product, format and target-market requirements to discuss suitable opportunities and available technical information.
We are seeking distribution and marketing partners across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Southeast Asia and Latin America (LATAM). HAPV’s wider portfolio also includes PetSeal companion-animal care.
